What is the COVID 19 Protocol for Travel in Colombia?

As of January 2022, Colombia is noted on the CDC Do Not Travel List along with The United States and all of Europe. Colombia remains open to travelers. Vaccinated non-resident foreign travelers must present proof they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 for at least 14 days prior to travel. If less than 14 days have elapsed or if the vaccination scheme is not complete, the traveler must present a PCR test with a negative result taken within 72 hours of boarding. Do I need Travel Insurance?

How do I find out about passport and visa requirements?

All who do not also hold Colombian citizenship must present a valid passport to enter and leave Colombia.

 

U.S. citizens do not need a Colombian visa for a tourist or business stay of 90 days or less or for cumulative stays of 180 days or less per calendar year.

In order to benefit from visa-free travel, citizens from the EU must be in possession of a valid ordinary, diplomatic, service/official or special passport. Visa-free travel applies to all categories of persons from the EU and for any kind of purposes of travel (for instance tourism, cultural visits, scientific activities, family visits, business etc.), except to persons travelling for the purpose of carrying out a paid activity.
